Using high fire stoneware clay, Judy creates a variety of decorative and functional pieces. The shape and form of each design is unique. The true artistry is apparent in the glaze application. The glazing technique has a very spontaneous approach. This method gives each new work a quality of whimsy and realism. The vibrancy of the glaze colors, combined with an active imagination creates an innovative composition on clay. Judy teaches the adult pottery classes for North Jeffco Parks and Recreation. Her formal art education has its roots in Eastern United States. Graduating from Florida State University, Judy continued with graduate work at Pratt Institute, in New York with additional coursework from Florida international University, Miami.
