Gerri started her art career as a professional dressmaker. Sensing a need to explore what the fabric would do and different artistic ideas, she began to branch out into various fiber arts. She has settled on elaborate fabric pieces, which she designs in piecing and collage. She then adds surface painting, stitching, and beading to make each article a fine art work. Her beautiful fiber pieces are meant to be worn and enjoyed.

Gerri, a Colorado resident, teaches her various fabric techniques, hoping to help others find the joy in working with fiber and textiles. She loves to see the joy in a students face when they begin to realize their design. It brings her back to the beginning of her career and the exploration that she did to learn her varied techniques.
