Kevin and Janell O’Brien

Painted Aspen Tree Glassware

Kevin and Janell paint drinking glasses with liquid glass, which is then fired in a kiln. This process brings together the combination of artwork and glass into one permanent work of art.

The aspen tree is a Colorado symbol and featured in each of the four seasons, often with hearts and horseshoes “carved” into the trunk.

Occasionally the O’Brien’s surprise us with other designs beyond the aspen trees, such as Christmas lights dangling from the branches, or whimsical dandelions.

The O’Brien’s glasses are dishwasher safe, permanently painted for years of enjoyment.

Kevin and Janell live in Timnath, Colorado, east of Fort Collins.
