Location: Historic Downtown Evergreen
Are you ready to immerse yourself in the world of art, creativity, and fun? The Evergreen Gallery is calling for an art-loving, energetic, and dependable superstar to join our team! Nestled on the historic Downtown Main Street, our gallery showcases the work of nearly 100 incredible Colorado artists, and we’re looking for you to help us share their stories with the world.
Why You’ll Love This Job:
-Part-time freedom! You’ll work 2-4 days a week, including one weekend day, leaving plenty of time for life’s other adventures. (Unless you want to work both Saturday and Sunday! We try to accommodate each other for work schedules).
-Two exciting locations! You may split your time between The Evergreen Gallery and our satellite shop, The Owl Cat Shoppe—just a stroll away, next to the charming Muddy Buck Café.
-Fast-paced & fun! If you love the hustle and bustle of a busy day that flies by, this job is perfect for you. Multitaskers, this is your time to shine!
What You’ll Do Every Day:
-Be the friendly face that warmly greets locals and tourists as they explore the gallery and discover the perfect art pieces and gifts.
-Learn about and sell the beautiful creations of our talented artists. Don’t worry if you’re new to sales—we’re happy to teach you!
-Evoke your mind! We need someone with a sharp memory to retain the details about the artists, their work, our customers and our operations!
-Master the basics of Excel, Word, and our custom point-of-sale software (Being comfortable using a computer is a must for this role).
-Work with our eclectic artists and learn about their amazing artwork, adding a touch of creativity to your workday.
-Curate stunning art displays—from large wall pieces to glass and ceramic art, you’ll help showcase and maintain our collections in a way that captivates visitors. We guide you through this.
-Occasionally use a ladder to access or arrange artwork and replace lightbulbs.
-Assist in cleaning and maintaining the gallery, so the space is always inviting for our visitors and keeps our artists proud to be represented.
-Wrangle the occasional critter that wanders into the gallery, and help keep our plants thriving (yes, it’s all part of the fun!).
What We’re Looking For:
-Someone who delights in making customers happy and creating an exceptional shopping experience year-round.
-A multitasker extraordinaire who can handle a day on their feet, packed with creativity, variety and customer interactions.
-Quick learner with an excellent memory, ready to absorb information about our artists, their work, as well as the gallery procedures and operations.
-Computer-savvy—you’re comfortable using Word, Excel, and sending professional emails.
--A team player who enjoys working with others to create a positive and joy-filled environment. Leave the drama at the door!
Hands-on and detail-oriented, especially when packaging fragile art pieces or tying beautiful bows on gift boxes (don’t worry, we’ll teach you!).
-Ready to roll up your sleeves and jump into action during our busiest season, from Thanksgiving through Christmas. We will require extra hours and/or dependability during this time! It goes by fast!
The Nitty-Gritty:
-Smart casual dress code—jeans and a nice shirt/blouse are great but leave the shorts and short skirts at home, as we dress appropriately for our sophisticated clientele.
-Typical hours are from 10-10:30 AM to 4-5:15 PM, so you’ll have most evenings free!
-This is an active job, so you’ll be on your feet most of the day, but we promise you won’t be bored.
-Perfect for anyone who’s looking for a part-time job, even if you have gaps in your resume or are returning to the workforce.

The gallery letters/logo came down off the building today.
The gallery is still open.
It’s our busiest time of year for tourists. It’s been an absolute horrible year since locals have chosen to boycott Downtown due to parking issues. We do validate for free parking.
I will endure this, as tourists are still coming in and loving what the artists and I have to offer.
I heard today from a customer that I am the only shop locally listed on Fodor’s and she came back twice to purchase our irresistible artwork.
In the next couple of weeks, my landlord will be updating my building with new paint color and new windows. My sign will go back up and my local artists will continue to bring in their beautiful creations.
It is a rebirth.
The gallery is still open.
